<p>The converter (1) has armature pole surfaces (21b, 22b) diagonally lying opposite to ends of an armature (20) formed smaller than armature pole surfaces. Yoke pole surfaces diagonally lying opposite to both ends of a yoke (10) are formed smaller than yoke pole surfaces. Separating elements (13) made of non-magnetic material is arranged between the former armature pole surfaces and the former yoke pole surfaces, so that magnetic resistance is smaller in a rotational position (I). An actuation element (5) e.g. switch, moves the armature from the position (I) to another rotational position.</p>
