The solenoid (1) has a media- or liquid-proof boundary element (8) including partial elastic material that is provided between a plunger (3) and a magnetic core (7). The boundary element comprises a fastening region i.e. inwardly protruding ring, for a sealing connection of the boundary element with the plunger, and a connection region i.e. outwardly protruding flange, sealably connects the boundary element with the core. A hose or a sleeve-like intermediate part is provided between the fastening and connection regions and surrounds a part of length of the plunger.
