Method for preparing beverages containing piñuela-fruit (Bromelia penguin), which has a nice taste and provides functional properties associated to the prevention of diseases such as flu, pertussis, parasites, etc., amongst others. The piñuela-fruit has a content of vitamin C and phenolic compounds similar to those of guava. The puñuela-fruit plants grow in a wild manner and the fruits are grown in bunches, which are processed for the extraction of syrups for beverages.
