PURPOSE: A drop sensor is provided to minimize the deviation of infrared rays, which are emitted from a light emitting element, from a sensing region, thereby enabling the utilization of the light emitting element of low power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A drop sensor comprises an infrared ray emitting unit and an infrared ray receiving unit. The sensor senses liquid droplets(5) from a liquid set cylinder(4) installed in between the infrared ray emitting and receiving units. The infrared ray emitting unit includes a light emitting guide(2-b) for guiding a direction of the infrared rays emitted from a light emitting element. The infrared ray receiving unit includes a light receiving guide(3-b) guiding the infrared rays transmitted by being radiated by the infrared ray emitting unit to an infrared ray receiving element(3-a). |
