PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting pin hole with calibration function are provided to film the steel plate with enlarged and clear image by optimizing the angle used to shoot the camera and the focus of the lens through the calibration process. CONSTITUTION: A pin-hole detecting apparatus comprises cameras(121,122,123), a calibration unit(130), and pin-hole detector(200). The camera provides the image of detecting intensity of light passing through steel plate. The calibration unit stores the acquired data pin-hole size standard table for calibration. The pin-hole detector estimates the size of the pin-hole using the position of image of acquired pin-hole from the steel plate image, size, and the data pin-hole size standard table. The data pin-hole standard table is composed of using the position and size of pin-hole image corresponding to pin-hole size.
