A structure of an ion generator of an air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to cut off electricity applied to first and second discharge electrodes automatically in disassembling the ion generator to prevent an electric shock due to high voltages of the first and second discharge electrodes. An ion generator(40) includes a main body(42) mounted at an air conditioning case(10), first and second discharge electrodes(44,46) extended into an inner path(12) from the main body, and a power input unit(42a) applying electricity to the first and second discharge electrodes. In the case of mounting the ion generator at the air conditioning case, a switching unit connects the power input unit with the first and second discharge electrodes electrically to apply electricity of the power input unit to the first and second discharge electrodes. In the case of demounting the ion generator from the air conditioning case, the switching unit cuts off the power input unit from the first and second discharge electrodes electrically to cut off electricity supplied to the first and second discharge electrodes. |
