PURPOSE: A high capacity lithium manganese oxide-based positive electrode active material and a lithium secondary battery including the same are provided to express high capacity. CONSTITUTION: A high capacity lithium manganese oxide-based positive electrode comprises positive active material including lithium manganese oxide represented by chemical formula 1, and a metal thin film layer.
