Highly accurate current transformer having a flexible bipartite core with an output of 1A, 5A or more amperes in its secondary; which consists in a core manufactured with a silicon steel strap cut in an end portion thereof which sheets have the ability of being separated upon opening the same, this providing the characteristic of flexibility. Said characteristic allows said current transformer to be opened in a 90% to 150% of its diameter. The transformer includes coiling the multifilament sheathed cable and wounding the same in a rectangular manner. This configuration generates air spaces between the core and the coil, which is another characteristic that provides flexibility to the invention. In addition, the external portion of the transformer is covered with insulating tape. Finally, synthetic resin is used only in the cut section, creating planes of perfect magnetic union in the core. This transformer is totally different, offering the advantage of being easily installed and in a reduced time, compared to common bipartite transformers which are totally rigid.
