PURPOSE: A rain sensor using a digital fingerprinting method and a raindrop sensing method of the rain sensor are provided to prevent a malfunction caused by surrounding noise lights by recognizing scattered lights as signal lights scattered by raindrops only when an input signal matches with digital fingerprints. CONSTITUTION: A rain sensor using a digital fingerprinting method comprises an optical signal generating part(110), an optical signal receiving part(150), and an optical blocking part(140). The optical signal generating part modulates a digital fingerprint signal with a specific code value and drives an LED(Light Emitting Diode) to output lights. The optical signal receiving part receives the light passing through windshield glass(120), changes the light into a digital signal, and outputs a wiper driving signal when the digital signal corresponds to a digital fingerprint signal. The optical blocking part blocks the light of the optical signal generating part from being directly inputted to the optical signal receiving part. |
