PURPOSE: A vehicle route determining method and a navigation device are provided to suggest a proper route according to the usage of a battery regardless of the location of a charging station or the capacity of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A navigation device comprises a display unit(210), a position measuring unit(220), a communication unit(230), and a control unit(250). The display unit outputs the route of a vehicle. The communication unit receives a residual amount of a battery module from a BMS(Battery Management System) which monitors the battery module supplying power to the vehicle. The control unit calculates the route to a destination from a current location according to the residual amount of the battery module.
