PURPOSE: A sewing machine and a sewing method using the same are provided to correct sewing defects before setting the sewing machine with sewing parameters. CONSTITUTION: A sewing machine comprises a sewing machine main body, an operating panel, a control block, and a mode changing switch. The operating panel inputs sewing data and sewing parameters(S110). The control block controls a driving unit of the sewing machine for sequentially performing a plurality sewing processes according to procedures(S120). The mode changing switch transfers a mode converting signal to the control block for driving the sewing machine(S140).
