PURPOSE: A bovine muscle-specific biomarker and a primer set for detecting the same are provided to detect a gene to distinguish which part of cow a cut of beef originates from. CONSTITUTION: A bovine muscle-specific biomarker contains thymidylate synthetase, tropoelastin(elastine precursor), RDM1, CV980409.1-A:r, MYL2 or thioredoxin-interacting protein(TXNIP). The thimidylate synthetase contains a base of sequence number 1. The tropoelastin, RDM1 gene, CV980409.1-A:r gene, and MYL2 gene contain a base of sequence number 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively. A primer set for detecting the biomarker contains a pair of sequence number 7 and 8. The biomarker is used for determining the beef foreshank. |
