PURPOSE: An apparatus for removal of hydrogen gas emitted from a fuel cell is provided to re-circulate hydrogen gas discharged from a fuel cell vehicle, to reduce the concentration of a hydrogen gas, and to prevent discharge of hydrogen gas. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removal of hydrogen gas comprises a stack(10); a humidifier(20) which is located in the back side of a cathode outlet(18) for humidifying unreacted hydrogen gas; and a mesh which is located in the back side of the humidifier for oxidizing hydrogen gas and connected to the cathode inlet(24) for absorbing dry air. The unreacted hydrogen gas is converted to hydrogen gas by a catalyst reaction and is re-circulated into the stack by being mixed with the dry air in the cathode inlet and passing through the humidifier.
