PURPOSE: A sewing machine which converts a mode and a sewing method using the same are provided to automatically change a sewing mode after correcting sewing defects and to perform following processes. CONSTITUTION: A sewing machine which converts a mode comprises a pedal, an operating panel, a control block, and a mode changing switch. The operating panel inputs sewing data including sewing parameters(S110). The control block controls operation of the sewing machine according to the sewing parameters(S120). The mode changing switch generates a mode converting signal transferred to the control block for driving the sewing machine(S270).
