PURPOSE: A method for driving a display device is provided to prevent a horizontal stripe fault by previously generating a gate clock signal in an initialization stage of the display device until the display device is normally operated. CONSTITUTION: Power is applied to a display device(S10). An oscillator starts operating(S20). A gate clock signal is generated and outputted to a gate driving part(S30). A signal control part grasps the property of a display panel(S40). The signal control part outputs entire control signals and image data for displaying images(S50).
