摘要 A method for driving an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to use 1 and 2-line inversion modes alternatively and set a ratio of frames, used in the 1 and 2- line inversion modes among a certain number of frames, to 1:1, thereby reducing a frequency of data voltage which converts into positive polarity and negative polarity in comparison to a method using only the 1-line inversion mode and accordingly reducing power consumption of a data driver driven through the line inversion mode. In a method for driving an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) by using a line inversion mode, m/2 frames of m frames displaying an image signal are driven through 1-line inversion mode. The rest m/2 frames are driven through 2-line inversion mode. The 1-line inversion mode applies data voltage having opposite polarity to LC cells of an odd-number line and LC cells of an even-number line.
