PURPOSE: A novel rhodopsin searched in Korea West Sea is provided to enable pumping of hydrogen ion and to be used in various fields including pain relief. CONSTITUTION: A rhodopsin protein has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The maximum absorption wavelength of the rhodopsin is 500-600 nm. A nucleic acid molecule encoding the rhodopsin contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 2. A vector contains the nucleic acid and a promoter which is operatively linked to the nucleic acid molecule. A method for preparing the rhodopsin protein comprises: a step of preparing a recombinant expression vector containing a gene construct; a step of transforming the recombinant expression vector to host cells to prepare a transformant; and a step of culturing the transformant. |
