PURPOSE: A method for generating a high resolution depth map from a low resolution depth map and a recording medium thereof are provided to generate the high resolution depth map by using a high-frequency component extracted from the low resolution depth map, thereby improving definition of depth in the inside of an object and a boundary edge. CONSTITUTION: An image processing device extracts a high frequency component from a low resolution depth map generated in a depth sensor(S201). The image processing device interpolates the low resolution depth map by using the high frequency component(S203). The image processing device generates a high resolution depth map through an interpolation process(S205).
