The system has an idler gear (1) secured to a dog-clutch ring (2) and a hub (3) interdependent in rotation of an idler (4). A set of thrusts is arranged to avoid contact between the ring and the idler during translation of the idler from accosting position to thrust position. The thrusts include an abutment material (6) and an abutment support material (5) i.e. cup, integral with the idler gear or the idler. The support material is structured in a continuous or specific manner, and is made of a rigid material e.g. elastomer such as plastic or rubber.
