PURPOSE: Artificial marble including metal patterns and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maximize the chip expression and the unique metallic texture of the artificial marble by forming metallic marbling surfaces based on aluminum flake or aluminum paste. CONSTITUTION: Metallic marbling surfaces are formed on artificial marble based on aluminum flake or aluminum paste. The aluminum flake or the aluminum paste is mixed with a base compound including a polymer resin and an additive. 40-90 parts by weight of the aluminum flake or the aluminum paste is included into 100 parts by weight of the base compound. Average diameters of the aluminum flake are between 2 and 4.5mm, and the thicknesses of the aluminum flake are between 0.1 and 2mm. The thicknesses of the artificial marble are between 3 and 12mm. A method for manufacturing the artificial marble includes the following: An aluminum sheet is ground to form the aluminum flake or the aluminum paste(S110). The aluminum flake or the aluminum paste is mixed and dispersed into the base compound(S120). The mixture is introduced into a mold(S130). A molding process and a hardening process are implemented(S140). |
