The present invention relates to a translucent printed film enabling an inscription to be displayed by backlighting and to a fitting for a motor vehicle side member provided with such a film. According to the invention, the film (13) is characterized in that it includes a support plate made of a translucent material (14) and a plurality of consecutive layers applied to the rear surface (14a) of the plate (14) and including a first opaque layer (15) having the inscription to be displayed therein, a second layer (16), the color of which is the same as that of the inscription to be displayed, a third opaque layer (17) having the same inscription as that of the first layer (15) therein, wherein said two inscriptions coincide with one another. The invention can be used in the automotive field. |
