PURPOSE: A solenoid actuating controller is provided to perform the high-speed switching operation and to prevent the current flowing through a solenoid coil. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid actuating controller(100) comprises a main switch element(121), an amplification unit(130), a current limit unit(140), and a free-wheeling unit(180). The main switch element is connected to a solenoid coil in series, and turned on by a first gate signal. The amplification unit amplifies the current flowing through the main switch element. The current limit unit compares output signals from the amplification unit with current limit reference signals(141,145), and outputs hysteresis patterns corresponding to the increase and decrease of the output signals. The free-wheeling unit comprises a free-wheeling switch element(182), a capacitor(C1), and a first switch element(185). The free-wheeling unit is connected to the solenoid coil in parallel, and turned on/off by a second gate signal. The first capacitor is connected between a source(182b) and a gate(182a) of the free-wheeling switch element. The first switch element is connected between a drain(182c) and a second gate of the free-wheeling switch element. |
