METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF IRRADIATED AND NON-IRRADIATED PEARL NUCLEUS AND PEARL NACRE OFCULTURED PEARL
摘要
PURPOSE: A method for discriminating whether a pearl nucleus of a cultured pearl and a nacreous layer is processed with radiation is provided to discriminate whether or not a cultured pearl is processed with radiation with high reliability and to discriminate a cultured pearl radiation-processed with a small amount of radiation. CONSTITUTION: A method for discriminating whether a pearl nucleus of a cultured pearl and a nacreous layer is processed with radiation is as follows: A cultured pearl is ground or crushed so that a sample is prepared. The sample is dried. The dried sample is measured by an electron spin resonance measuring device or an electron paramagnetic resonance measuring device. A g-value of an obtained spectrum is confirmed to determine whether the sample was processed with radiation.
