<p>The method involves supplying a fuel by single direct injection to an internal combustion engine (M), where the fuel is alcohol when a load of the engine is above a critical threshold or petrol when the load of the engine is below the critical threshold. The engine is supplied with the fuel through one of alcohol injection tube (T1) and petrol injection tube (T2), where the supply of the fuel to the engine is performed such that initiation of one of the injection tubes actuates simultaneous closure or almost-simultaneous opening of the other tube. An independent claim is also included for an injection system for controlling injection of petrol and alcohol in an internal combustion engine, comprising two channels.</p> |
