PURPOSE: A method for determining validation of an object area, a device thereof, and an object extraction method thereof are provided to determine the validation of the object area based on a symmetry property, thereby efficiently determining an object with the symmetry property. CONSTITUTION: A validation determination device receives an image, which includes an object, through a photographing device(S201). The validation determination device automatically detects an object area from the image(S202). When a symmetry value for the extracted object is smaller than a predetermined first threshold value, the validation determination device determines that extraction of the object is valid and removes an area excluding the object area(S204-S206).
