PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent a touch failure by maintaining a constant push gap. CONSTITUTION: A black stripe(230) is formed on a second substrate(210) and includes a large area stripe(232) and a column spacer(234). The large area stripe presses a push gap. An open area is formed between a FT(Full Tone) and a HT(Half Tone) area of a mask for forming the black stripe. A predetermined gap(236) is formed between the large area stripe and the column spacer.
