<p>The method comprises providing a mud having a determined dry material rate, providing a lime in a form of powder and/or liquid to treat the mud, dehydrating the mud to obtain a mud presenting a dry material rate that is higher than the determined dry material rate, and mixing calcium carbonate in powder form with the lime and the mud in a homogeneous way to mineralize the mud. The calcium carbonate is mixed with the lime and the mud before the step of dehydration or after the step of dehydration. A proportion of lime compared to calcium carbonate is 20-70 wt.%. A proportion of lime compared to calcium carbonate is 20-70 wt.%. The calcium carbonate has fine particles of 20 mu m, and percentage of the fine particles is lower than 20%.
