The device (10) has a sliding joint for sealing a median junction zone (104) when a sliding wing and another sliding wing placed in a sliding frame arrangement are in a closed position, where the device is designed to be placed in an intermediate space between sections of outer and inner frames. An engagement unit is formed so as to be brought in engagement with an antagonistic interlocking unit of a section of the sliding frame such that a position of the device is fixed. A sealing channel seals an outer region (131) with respect to an inner region (132) of the intermediate space. An independent claim is also included for a sliding frame arrangement.
