PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening member and a fastening piece each of which has a significantly reduced unpleasant texture and incongruous appearance, and consequently brings about an integrated feeling with the body of a disposable wearing article.

SOLUTION: The fastening piece 100 has a hook fastener 110 and a base sheet 120. The hook height H1 of hooks 111 is 45-150 μm, and the thickness T2 of a hook sheet is 45-75 μm. A color difference ΔE between the hook fastener 110 and the base sheet 120 in a case where, in a L*a*b* color system, the color difference of L* is ΔL*, the color difference of a* is Δa*, and the color difference of b* is Δb*, is calculated using the ΔL*, the Δa*, and the Δb*, and is less than 5.5.
