<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a diffuse reflection component of an object pixel therefrom without being influenced by noise of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device of one embodiment includes: a hue calculating section for calculating hue of pixels contained in an input image; an extracting section that sets a reference in response to a pixel value of an object pixel contained in the input image and extracts a first group containing pixels having the hue closer to the object pixel than the reference; a chromaticity calculating section for calculating chromaticity of the pixels contained in the first group and the object pixel; a diffuse reflectance calculating section for calculating a diffuse reflectance to be estimated by using the chromaticity of the pixels contained in the first group and the object pixel; and a separating section for separating a diffuse reflection component indicating a component of the pixel value varying in response to a change in the diffuse reflectance from the pixel value of the object pixel by using the diffuse reflection component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
