<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the data transfer speed between a host apparatus and a printing apparatus, and to continue the operation even when a data transfer control part controlling the data transfer fails. <P>SOLUTION: This printing apparatus comprises: a plurality of data transfer control parts configured to store image data transferred from a host apparatus to a corresponding storage part; an output control part to output each of the stored image data to an instructed output part, out of a plurality of output parts provided correspondingly to the respective plurality of data transfer control parts and printing the image data; and a print control part which sends, when abnormal conditions are present in a data transfer control part, a transfer instruction of the first image data to be transferred by the data transfer control part having the abnormal conditions to the data transfer control part that has no abnormal conditions and has a free space of the corresponding storage part larger than the size of the first image data, and which instructs the output control part to output the first image data by the output part corresponding to the data transfer control part having the abnormal conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
