PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte capable of improving deterioration in capacity and gas generation when a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is stored at high temperatures, and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery including the nonaqueous electrolyte.

SOLUTION: The problem can be solved by using a nonaqueous electrolyte in which (A) a compound having at least two isocyanate groups within the molecules thereof and a compound having at least two cyano groups within the molecules thereof are mixed with specific quantity of content.
