<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polyester resin that has properties such as a high refractive index, high thermostability, and low birefringence by good balance. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester resin includes as polymerization components: a dicarboxylic acid component including a polycyclic aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a dicarboxylic acid component having a fluorene skeleton; and a diol component including a compound that has a 9,9-bis(hydroxy (poly)alkoxyaryl) fluorene skeleton, wherein the proportion of the dicarboxylic acid component having a fluorene skeleton is adjusted to at least 55 mole% for the entire dicarboxylic acid component, and the proportion of the polycyclic aromatic dicarboxylic acid component to the dicarboxylic acid component having the fluorene skeleton is adjusted to former/latter (molar ratio) =10/90-45/55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
