The method involves determining two 3-tuples of pressures and of a time period. The former pressure is measured with a pressure sensor (103). The valve (109) is opened for a time period after the measurement of the former pressure, and the latter pressure is measured with the pressure sensor after opening the valve for a time period. The error of the measured pressure is determined from the two 3-tuples. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for determining an error of pressure in a pressure accumulator for storing a fluid; and (2) a motor controller in communication with an error determining device.
