BIDIRECTIONAL MOVING WALKWAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional moving walkway with a stretching system improved in the concept.

SOLUTION: The bidirectional moving walkway includes: two drive units arranged at both ends of the bidirectional moving walkway, respectively; and stretching units 6 each having a locking system for locking a movable frame 7. The locking system of the stretching unit 6 is designed so that the operation of the stretching unit 6 may be locked when the drive unit is operated, and positioned at the same end as the positioned end of the stretching unit 6. As a result, the bidirectional moving walkway is always operated in such a state that the stretching unit arranged at the passenger entrance end is operated and the stretching unit arranged at the passenger exit end is locked.
