CAPTION CHECK SYSTEM, CAPTION CHECK APPARATUS, AND CAPTION CHECK METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caption check system capable of checking captions included in broadcast signals, without manual work.

SOLUTION: The caption check system comprises an image signal output apparatus and a caption check apparatus. The image signal output apparatus outputs an image signal with caption data multiplexed thereon. The caption check apparatus comprises: an extraction unit which receives the image signal and extracts the caption data from the received image signal; a check unit which determines whether the extracted caption data is multiplexed at an assumed time or not and whether the extracted caption data matches with caption data assumed to be multiplexed to the received image signal; and a presentation unit which presents the extracted caption data and the result of the determination.
