<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile head joint structure which allows a pile head reinforcement with a large diameter to be applied even to a steel pipe pile having a thin thickness, with improved workability during welding. <P>SOLUTION: A pile head joint structure includes an L-shaped joint metal fitting 1 composed of a horizontal plate part 11 lapped on the top face of an end plate 21 of a steel pipe concrete pile or a steel pipe pile and a suspending plate part 12 which suspends from one end of the horizontal plate part 11 and comes in contact with the outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe 2 of the pile in a state that an inside corner part 13 thereof engages with the circumference of the end plate 21, and a pile head reinforcement 3 raised from the top face of the horizontal plate part 11. At least the horizontal plate part 11 and the end plate 21, and the suspending plate part 12 and the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 2 are welded.
