<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method for separating a hydrocarbon-based mixed gas. <P>SOLUTION: The separation method separates a hydrocarbon-based mixed gas having one or two carbon atoms, the method using a metal complex composed of at least one metal ion selected from periodic table 2- and 7- to 12-group metal ions, a Lewis basic anion, and a bidentatable organic ligand represented by formula (I), wherein X, Y and Z are identical or different and are each a carbon atom or the like; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>to R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>are identical or different and are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may have a substituent, or the like; and A<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and A<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are identical or different and a pyridyl group, an imidazolyl group or a triazolyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
