<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater that detects whether a water leakage occurs in a hot-water supply side or a water supply side and informs a use of the leakage place. <P>SOLUTION: The storage type water heater includes: a hot-water tapping pipe 4 that supplies hot-water by tapping the hot-water from an upper part of a hot-water storage tank 1; a hot-water supply flow sensor 10 that detects a use condition of the supplied hot-water; a heating means 23 heating the hot-water in the hot-water storage tank 1; a plurality of hot-water storage temperature sensors 22 provided in an upper part and a lower part of a side of the hot-water storage tank 1 to detect hot-water storage temperatures; a remaining heat quantity detector 45 that detects a remain heat quantity in the hot-water storage tank 1 by the hot-water storage temperature sensors 22; and a water leakage detecting means 40 that detects a water leakage from the hot-water storage tank 1, the water supply pipe 2, and the hot-water tapping pipe 4. When the water leakage detecting means 40 detects a water leakage, the remaining heat quantity detector 45 compares a past remaining heat quantity Q1 detected just after stopping water supply to a present remaining heat quantity Q2 after detecting the water leakage. If the present remaining heat quantity Q2 proves to have decreased, a water leakage occurring in the hot-water supply side including the hot-water storage tank 1 is informed of, and if the present remaining heat quantity Q2 proves to be unchanged, a water leakage occurring in the water supply side is informed of. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
