PURPOSE: A character input method using a touch screen, character input apparatus, record medium for recording a program, and character input apparatus using the touch screen are provided to secure a wide space for consonant buttons by eliminating the one line of vowel buttons. CONSTITUTION: An input character output window(200) outputs characters in which are inputted by a keypad manipulation. An input detection unit senses a touch and a drag signal or a touch and pressure signal in which are applied in the key pad. When the touch signal is applied in a vowel button, a control unit selects a vowel stroke. When the drag or the pressure signal is applied in the vowel button, the control unit selects the other vowels according to the drag or the pressure signal. |
