<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the operation of connection and connection release, to accurately set release ability when performing connection release by a design shape, and to perform steady connection release. <P>SOLUTION: A ligation device includes: a sheath member; an operating portion; a transmission member to transmit a driving force; and a clip unit freely detachably connected with a longitudinal axis of the sheath member at the same axis. The transmission member has a hook 23 in a forward distal end, and a forward slope and a rear slope 143 are formed from a hook forward distal end aiming at a rear end in this order as for the hook. The clip unit includes: an arm erected from a rear end of the clip unit; and an engaging claw part 73 to extend from an arm rear end side toward a forward side.
