<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always accurately align sheets at the trailing end thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes: a saddle-stitch conveyance roller for conveying a sheet P; first and second conveyance guide plates 80 and 81 forming a lower conveyance path for guiding the sheet P to be conveyed; a sheet trailing end alignment portion for aligning a sheet bundle PB; and a saddle-stitch stapler, a sheet folding plate and a sheet folding board, for applying a predetermined process to the aligned sheet bundle PB. The sheet trailing end alignment portion includes: a sheet trailing end alignment member 64 having an abutment surface 64b with which the trailing end of the sheet comes into contact for alignment, and both side surfaces for preventing the sheet P brought into contact with the abutment surface 64b from falling from the abutment surface PB; a conveying belt and a drive motor for moving the sheet trailing end arrangement member in a direction parallel to the lower conveyance path; and a stepping motor 84 and a rotating belt for swinging the trailing end alignment member 64 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the sheet P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
