<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of backing up the payed-off residual number of valuable articles, clearing backed-up contents, and preventing clearing caused by erroneous operation to reliably pay off unpayed-off valuable articles. <P>SOLUTION: A backup capacitor holds a value of a residual prize ball number counter of a payoff control board for storing the payoff residual number of prize balls after the powering-off of a Pachinko machine. Thus, even if an abrupt power failure of the Pachinko machine occurs due to power interruption or the like, the number of unpayed-off prize balls is stored, and the unpayed-off prize balls are reliably payed off after the power of the Pachinko machine is turned on again. Contrarily, the value of the residual prize ball number counter can be cleared.
