<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a getter that solves various problems in a conventional getter. <P>SOLUTION: A flexible multi-layer getter 100 with a gas permeable layer 102 covering a gas reservoir layer 104 is utilized. In an embodiment, a gas-permeable layer 102 covers part of the gas reservoir layer 104. In another embodiment, a barrier 106 covers part of the gas reservoir layer 104.
