<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery binder for an inorganic fiber nonwoven fabric that is capable of providing an inorganic fiber nonwoven fabric having an excellent yield of the binder when it is sprayed and having a uniform and excellent mechanical strength even with a low sprayed amount and a low applied amount, thus solving the problems for the prior powdery binder which requires spraying much amount of the powdery binder in order to impart a sufficient mechanical strength to an inorganic fiber nonwoven fabric and which has a low yield when the binder is sprayed. <P>SOLUTION: The powdery binder for an inorganic fiber nonwoven fabric includes resin particles having a volume-average particle diameter Dv of 20-75 μm, in which the proportion of particles having a particle diameter of 75 μm or less with respect to all particles is 60 wt% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
