<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing an increase in size by providing pre-transfer charging means while preventing toner dust or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor drum 2; first charging means 4 and second charging means 6, first and second writing units not shown; first developing means 8 and second developing means 10; and PTC14 as pre-transfer charging means for charging a toner image on the photoreceptor drum 2 before transfer to a sheet 12. The PTC14 is composed of a needle electrode 30 and a casing member 34 for covering the needle electrode, and a conveyance guide plate 34a for guiding the sheet 12 to a transfer part serves as a part of the casing member 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
