<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method of a TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>production facility capable of discharging most part of TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>existing inside apparatuses, and reducing degradation of a work environment and corrosion of apparatuses caused by generation of hydrochloric acid gas when performing atmospheric opening and maintenance, and to provide a TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>production facility. <P>SOLUTION: In this maintenance method of a TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>production facility for cooling crude TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>gas obtained by a fluidized bed to obtain crude TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid, and obtaining pure TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid from the crude TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid through a distillation step, atmospheric release and maintenance are performed after vacuum-sucking TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid from a discharge port of a maintenance target apparatus 50 among apparatuses included in the TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>production facility. Preferably, when vacuum-sucking TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid, gas in a TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid recovery container 40 is evacuated to depressurize the inside of the recovery container 40, and the recovery container 40 is connected to the maintenance target apparatus 50, to thereby vacuum-suck the TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid in the maintenance target apparatus 50, and vapor-liquid separation of the recovered TiCl<SB POS="POST">4</SB>liquid is performed in the recovery container 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
