This reactor (1A) is provided with a cylindrical coil (2), a magnetic core (3) disposed inside and outside the cylindrical coil (2) and for forming a closed magnetic path, and a case (4A) for housing the cylindrical coil (2) and the magnetic core (3). At least a portion of the magnetic core (3) (in this case the outer core (32) disposed on the outer circumference side of the coil (2)) is configured from a composite material containing magnetic powder and a resin. The bottom plate (40) and the wall (41) of the case (4A) are independent members. In the reactor (1A), the coil (2) and the bottom plate (40) configured from a non-magnetic metal material are integrally held by means of a resin mold (21) formed from an insulating resin. The coil (2) and the bottom plate (40) are secured by means of the resin mold (21) and the heat of the coil (2) is efficiently transferred to an installed object. Thus, the reactor (1A) exhibits excellent heat dissipation properties.
