The connector (5) has a circumferential tape (17) arranged at a window edge (8) of a window element (4). The circumferential tape and a portion of a window carrier belt (14) of a window slide fastener part (11) of a slide fastener (9) are sewn with the window element in a region of the window edge by using adhesive agents (22, 23) e.g. adhesive tapes and/or adhesive films. The adhesive agents are provided at a side of the window edge as sealing agents and/or fixation layers. The window element is fixable in a roof cover (3) by using the slide fastener. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a releasable window connection in a flexible top of a vehicle.
