<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for inhibiting viral adhesion. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides the compositions and methods for treating or preventing viral infection and more particularly compositions including fused polypeptides comprising carbohydrate epitopes that mediate viral adhesion.
